Alec Roberson focuses on estate planning and administration, post-mortem estate planning, wealth transfer tax matters, fiduciary dispute resolution, ERISA, and tax qualified retirement plans and welfare benefit plans.
Alec received his law degree from Wake Forest School of Law in 2016 and holds undergraduate degrees in accounting and political science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. While at Wake Forest School of Law, Alec was involved with the Journal of Business and Intellectual Property, regularly contributing as a staff member and a contributor to the Journal’s blog. During his last semester of law school Alec participated in the Elder Law Clinic where he assisted clients with Medicaid planning, guardianship, creditor’s claims and exemptions, Social Security overpayment, special needs trusts, and drafting powers of attorneys. He received the CALI award for the highest grade earned in Employee Benefits and Pension Law.
Alec enjoys playing and watching hockey as well as surfing, snowboarding and playing guitar. His wife, Christin, also went to UNC Wilmington, earning a degree in nursing, and they both have been involved with Elevation Church since moving to Charlotte.
